"Ghandhi Jayanti"

"Happy Gandhi Jayanti" National Holiday, I too having time to have a little break today. Professional commitment and hobby clashes many a times and deprive me to put my thoughts forward. Not a professional writer hence my small brain takes time to think and arrange a topics. When I was in Class -IX book "My experiments with truth" autobiography really attracted me. Not possible to understand the importance of a character like Mahatma at that time. However in today's world the importance of his philosophy and leadership un-doubtedly the best and may be difficult to think of a person like him in universe.

Entire country saw a revolution by Annaji. I too understand the importance of a revolution raised against corruption by Annaji. I thought after Gandhi, to whom many of us not seen, it is Annaji can bring a change in this country. However the satyagraha didn't last for many days. Then the importance of a selfless character like Gandhiji and his leadership understood by many. His act of self discipline and sacrifice mesmerized millions of countrymen to follow him to achieve Independence against all odds. Sacrificing everything he just wanted to achieve and see un-divided, Independent India. There are differences of opinion about him and his style of functioning. However we are lucky to born in a country where Gandhiji lead us to freedom. Country traveled a long distance since his assassination however we couldn't produce another person a Gandhian who can take the rest of generations in his footprint.

Surprise to see next generations of leaders absolutely forgotten his philosophy and country also we forgotten him and his ideology. 22 years long it took to convict Masood. 17 years in-case of lalu. These are leaders who lead us after independence. When many are happy at-last our judiciary act and convicted corrupt leaders am having a simple question to ask why this took so many years to convict and arrest a person who has looted countrymen? Why these leaders are so afraid of going to jail for their mistakes where as Gandhiji willingly giving his arrest for countrymen to put pressure against British rule. Today we do not have British rule, we are an independent country. We are having that privilege of taking our own decision and run this country. But by whom? These are questions forced us to think about Gandhiji and his sacrifice and his leadership.
